Tips and precautions for use of anti-skid chains

The most unavoidable problem of the winter car is the anti-skid problem of the vehicle, often we wake up from a dream, the world outside the window is already a piece of silver-coated. If the simple snow is not a big problem, if the spare tire chain of the road car freezes or freezing rain occurs, then we must consider the possible danger of vehicle sidescarping when driving.
To deal with vehicle skidding, our most common method of anti-skid chain is to use anti-skid chain. However, we common chain, but its scientific use method you may not know. Today, we will briefly introduce the relevant common sense of the use of car skid chains.
1. To install the chain in advance do not temporarily stop the installation
Winter travel, if we find that the road has been more slippery, need to install the chain, then please install it before the trip, and do not install it after the snow and ice road. This is because the installation of the temporary parking stainless steel chain is more troublesome than the installation in advance, and is not conducive to safety. Park the vehicle in a safe area before installation and disassembly. For example, on busy roads, necessary traffic warning signs need to be set up.
2. The anti-skid chain should be installed on the drive wheel and installed in pairs
Install the chain, you must first clearly know your car drive mode, in order to play its due role, the chain should be installed on the drive wheel, and must be installed in pairs around the two tires, can not only install one. If it is a four-wheel drive model, you need to install 4 anti-skid chains. Especially for automatic transmission models, it is not only necessary to install in pairs, but also to ensure that the tightness of the left and right wheels of the anti-skid chain is consistent, otherwise it will cause damage to the automatic transmission during driving.
3. After installing the anti-skid chain, should try to avoid rapid acceleration and emergency braking
After installing the chain, the vehicle should maintain a slow speed, generally speaking, not more than 40km/h. In addition, due to the special role of the anti-skid chain, try not to suddenly accelerate and emergency braking during driving.
4. Remove the anti-skid chain when leaving the snow and ice road
The principle of the anti-skid chain is to concentrate the gravity of the vehicle to several points of the chain, generating huge pressure, rolling through the snow and ice layer directly to the road, thereby increasing the friction and increasing the safety factor of the vehicle. Therefore, this also determines that once it leaves the snow and ice wet road, it is necessary to remove the anti-skid chain in time. Do not, under any circumstances, drive with a chain on a road that is not covered with snow, it will seriously damage your tires.
